Our primary focus is conventional oil extraction from underground reservoirs using traditional drilling and pumping methods.  Conventional Oil requires less processing after extraction as Light Crude Oil is the easiest and cheapest oil to refine.  Light and medium oil can flow naturally to the earth's surface and is generally extracted from the ground using horizontal drilling and pumping methods.   The Canadian regions with light oil reservoirs include several fields in Alberta including the Cardium and Viking, and the Motney and Duvernay areas in Alberta.  Blackwater Resources  is strategically positioned in the Cardium Area.
